Our Food
We all love food right??
Well that’s certainly true when it comes to the team at Mustard, we are a right bunch of foodies!
Whether it’s a snack to fill that little hole in your belly, or a full on meal, we have it covered. Everything we do is made from scratch, on site by our chefs. The only exception to this rule is our sandwich bread which is delivered daily by the talented team of artisan bakers at Pye Bakers of Norwich.
We use local, seasonal produce wherever possible and everything we sell is available to take away as well as sit in.
The kitchen team love to dream up new and exciting recipes for our Specials Board. We keep to one or two specials a day because we believe that having too much choice isn’t always a good thing, as it usually means that everything on offer is just ok. We do not want to be ok, we want everything to be amazing so we focus all of our efforts on the two dishes we have.
Again we have to stress that everything on the Specials Board is home-made, including the dough for our calzone pizzas, the pastes for our curries and even the actual pasta when we make carbonara.
Whilst travelling the world we attended several cooking courses for all different types of cuisines, so we have gained a wide range of knowledge of these dishes. We love to share this with our customers by bringing back our favourite dishes such as Pad Thai, South African bunny-chow, Goan fish curry etc.
Overall, we are self taught perfectionists and we will only serve food that we feel would make us say "wow".
Breakfast
Our breakfast menu starts at 8am when we open and runs through to 11.30am. It includes classics such as Eggs Benedict and more unusual choices like Huevos rancheros for those feeling adventurous.
Lunch
The lunchtime options change frequently to move with the seasons. Mustard is a sandwich and coffee bar therefore we like to think that our sandwiches our something special. We choose the fillings based on what we would like to eat ourselves and what we think works well together. When it comes to the bread, well I’ve never tasted anything like it. We also have everyday favourites like jacket potatoes, soups, and salads.
Sweets
Onto our cakes and sweet treats, well, you will be spoilt for choice...We like to experiment with a lot of different cakes but have perfected the timeless classics such as carrot cake. We also sell whole cakes for special occasions such as birthdays.
